Andrew and I made it up to Oregon yesterday (Tuesday) and it was a very uneventful, but eventful trip. We had no problems waking up at 5am for a 6am departure for the road. We departed on time and made excellent time all the way up. We stopped in Eugene to see our two best friends Katie and Sam. They both happen to live there so it was a blessing to see them at the same time and coordinate all three of our schedules! This is the reason why we left early because we had to make sure we saw Sam on his lunch and Katie before she headed off to coach soccer! Next, we made the hour trek (which went by fast) up to Salem and onto the Corban College campus to visit Eugene, Christie, and Abby! We enjoyed visiting with them, a tour by Abby herself of the new vamped up campus, and some delicious pizza. Thanks Edwards' family for letting us come through before it gets busy again on campus. We arrived in Gresham at 8:15pm and unloaded the car and relaxed! It is raining here which I love...Andrew does not like...get used to it dude as you will officially become an Oregonian in January. =)
As for the Comcast update...
At 11:45am the technician finally showed up and he called Andrew's phone which he was supposed to call my phone to be let into our gated community. He worked on our line for about 3 minutes and he was leaving. We told him we still had internet. He worked on it some more...I took a shower to get me to start my day finally...well turns out he cut our landlords' line as well. The landlord (ll) was not home at the time so I was the one that had to call, call, call, call, and many more times call to get a technician back out before ll gets home. They told me they could not come until 6-8pm that night and I said that would not work. After talking with the supervisor of the call center many times...the technician was supposed to be there within the hour (I gave them until 4:30pm...benefit of 15 minutes). Lo and behold the same technician showed at 3:45pm...AMAZING!!!! Ll showed up at his house before this and got his stuff working. Turns out the lines were labeled wrong since our ll owns both houses....long story within itself about this too!!! Got everything fixed...thank goodness...ll had a conference call at 6pm that night to be on. Comcast did take away our $12.67 bill for the month so good for them...since I spent a super long time on the phone with them. Give one point to Comcast and many points for me!!!! =) We still do not know if we will go with Comcast when we need service again. Still did not receive a call from anyone except the supervisor...still waiting on that too!!! haha
