Busy

Well, Andrew and I have been busy with different things.

We both started school last week in which we have one class each week and sometimes Andrew will have two a week. I will drive to Salem every Thursday night to attend a night class which will be a lot of fun because I can relate what methods I learn to the teaching I will be doing starting in February.

Andrew and I were able to attend my sister's sister-in-law's wedding in Corvallis last Saturday and on the way down we stopped in Woodburn. We found some amazing deals in which I found jeans for $17.50 each and two sweaters that were each $9.09. Andrew found a pair of jeans for around $11. Yes, Andrew went into GAP and bought something!

Andrew and I were able to hang out with Katie Casebeer as she stayed at my parent's house. We had a great time and love always being able to see her, hang out with her, and of course take many pictures of her!!! We get to see her this weekend too!!!!! =)

Andrew and I were able to go to the Troutdale GAP Outlet to check to see if they had more of Andrew's pants that were in his size and he found them even cheaper for around $8. Amazing!!! We also bought my niece a cute purple polka dotted puffy vest.

Andrew and I also started a class at church on Wednesday nights called Financial Peace University. We are very excited to dive into all the material and take what we learn and apply it to our lives. We are saving for our emergency fund!!!

I started work at the Portland Spirit again in which I will pick up days on the weekends when needed. I am excited that the Lord opened this opportunity for us as we will have more income coming in to pay for an apartment or a place where the Lord wants us.

The other day we went to Cost Plus because for my birthday I received a $10.00 free gift certificate from them. I bought a cute 4 cups + tea kettle for $4.99!

Today, we went to Papa's Pizza and each got a mini taco pizza for FREE!!! We just signed up for mobile rewards and we each got a pizza. Can't beat FREE!!!

This year our goals are to:

use coupons and get the best use out of God's money.

to save money for God Knows What He is Doing emergency fund.

Andrew find a job.

to find a place to rent with a reasonable price and if possible close to seminary.

to enjoy what God has in store for us and let Him guide us.

There are plenty of other things we will be working on individually as well as a couple and we are excited to share those in the future.

Plenty of things we are doing that God continues to show us and provide for us. Right now we need to get busy reading and get our school work done that is due tomorrow (Andrew) and Thursday for me.

Kathleen's 26th Birthday

Today was Kathleen's 26th birthday! Happy Birthday Kathleen! I love you (yes, this is Andrew, would be kind of weird if she said she loved herself :)! I am so glad I was able to come up from California in time to celebrate with her. We had a great breakfast prepared by her mom and then went to Ikea with her brother. He bought our niece a new bed and dresser and both were on sale, bonus!!! Then we went over to her brother and sister-in-law's house to celebrate our other niece's birthday. Her actual birthday was in December but we celebrated today (bummer that it impacted us celebrating Kathleen's birthday). Here are a few pictures! Happy Birthday Kathleen! So glad God brought you into this world and brought us together!

Two Years Ago

Two years ago today, I was proposed to by my wonderful, caring, understanding, loving husband. We got engaged in front of Susan and Katie Casebeer in Santa Rosa, California at the Charles Schultz Museum. We looked around the museum and then we stepped outside to go to the skating rink and gift shop when Andrew got down on one knee and said he wanted me for the rest of his life. I don't think he knew what got into when he did that. Well, now we are continually learning what it means to be married to one another and learning new things from each other on a daily basis. I am thankful to our great Heavenly Father for bringing Andrew into my life as my husband and best friend. Thanks Andrew for making it a memorable engagement! Thanks to Sue Casebeer for making us take awkward pictures together afterwards. Thanks to Katie for taking pictures during the proposal! =)

Surprise...

Today, I got an early birthday present! I am excited!!!!

Andrew will be moving in a couple days (was going to be tomorrow), but it was delayed because he is sick. Please pray for a safe trip for him and his drive. He is hoping to be up here by mid-week. Also, we are looking for a place to live so we are hoping we will figure something out soon. Here starts a new chapter in our lives.
