Today some men from my parents' church (the one I grew up in from 5th grade-College) came over to complete my parent's path that Andrew and I started in the summer. I am thankful that these men took the time on their Saturday morning to finish the path and help my parents out. My parents are always so eager to help out with their church family and I am glad that other members of the church family were able to help them out. Here are some pictures that my brother sent of the path completion. Thank you to those who were willing to serve my parents, but are faithfully serving the Lord in all that they do!

Psalm 34
Andrew is finishing up his first semester at Wheaton and has enjoyed it immensely. He has been challenged in his thinking, he has been challenged to dig deeper in the Word of God, and to step out of his comfort zone. The thing is...
We don't know where we will be at the end of this school year.
Andrew has applied once again for PhD programs and as we wait for letters/interviews of acceptances or denials, we know God's timing and Will will reign. Is it hard to wait: yes. Is it hard to know that we could possibly move again: yes.
But we do know that God is faithful. God will guide us to where He wants us and to continue to grow us.
This week I met with a woman who has been in my shoes. A woman that is a wife to a husband who has gone through getting his PhD. I told her that I don't think very many people understand what it takes to have a husband who wants to pursue getting a PhD and is actively doing it. She understands what my thoughts are. She understands that God will provide and to continue to lead. She made it, her husband is a professor with a PhD, and they have children. Are they done moving yet...probably not? Is she open to being moved from one place to another...yes. Is it a roller coaster for her...yes. I am thankful that I was able to spend an hour with this woman to learn from her, to be encouraged by her, and ultimately allowing God to work in me.
God has been working on my heart for possibly another transition. Our prayer is to stay here if possible. Our prayer is to become connected at church and serve with the body. Right now we are waiting to know where this will be.
"I will bless the LORD at all time; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boat in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together! I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peach and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will say the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned." Psalm 34 ESV
