Madison Renee
As of last Tuesday, September 23, we have a new addition in the family. Madison Renee Studenny joins the family of my brother Stephen, my sister-in-law Terri, and my second oldest niece Jasmine Marie. Madison is a healthy beautiful girl and we are so thankful that God has blessed us with another girl as far as nieces. If you are keeping track...that is three girls to only one boy. Hopefully some other married members in my family will start having some more children. =) Here are some pictures to show off Madison.

Lake Tahoe
Andrew and I just got back from a 6 day relaxing vacation to Lake Tahoe. We were able to meet up with my aunt and uncle and we were very excited to go. I was so excited that I got sick Sunday morning and didn't start feeling well until Wednesday. I felt like I was getting the flu, but it did not fully progress into the flu. While we were there we were able to go to South Tahoe, Emerald Bay, the beach, Starbucks, and many more fun adventures. We really would like to go back, but now it is time to hunker down and try to find jobs. Here are some wonderful pictures of Lake Tahoe all taken by Andrew.

Our New Car
Here are pictures of our new "rental" car. Our car is in the shop getting fixed due to the Sierra truck hitting us last Saturday. We are so very thankful for this rental because we were only supposed to be getting a Kia Rondo and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car guy upgraded us to this 2009 Chevy Equinox. We are thankful to him and all that he did for us! We are enjoying it except I (Kathleen) am very nervous about people coming up from behind because of what happened to us last week. Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures!

Prayers and Praises
Alright.....my mom ordered me a new phone and I just have to return my old one. The phone was totally not out of commission and it just wanted to get flushed and then come back to life again. The only problem with it is that it has about a "quarter" size spot on the screen. Feel free to give me a call or text me because I am using my old old phone until I get my new phone. Thanks mom for helping me be able to get me a new phone!!!! I dropped my phone just in time because it was a month when I activated my phone so my mom called thankfully that day and they waived the new phone fee.
My neck is sore! I was doing okay today until tonight it is getting very sore. I need to go rest and lay down. Please continue to pray that I feel better and that we can get this situated before next week. Next week we leave to go on vacation with my aunt and uncle! Which we are very excited about!!!!
Praise God!!! Andrew is almost I mean almost (like he is about to print) his papers to send tomorrow to complete his Greek 3 class. Thank you to his dad for helping him understand and complete his assignments. Now I can have my husband back and not stressed. He can now stress about the car.
Thank you for your prayers! Please also be praying about jobs for us both.

Tea Toilet Crash!!!
Alright.....so we had a very eventful day!
Today, started great! Waking my husband up at 7:15am in the morning to go shopping at Safeway because they are having a great 48 hour sale. $.99 for raspberries (which are my favorite and I miss them since we aren't in Oregon) and a pack of 24 bottled water for $2.88 + CRV. Yes, you have to buy bottled water here because California water is gross. So we made a few trips with our gift card to Safeway. Plus we did not have to pay tax because I think it is because we used my mom's club card (which is Oregon based)!!!!! Yes, I love that. We had to make a second trip back to the house due to Andrew forgetting his wallet, which wasn't the plan because I wanted to get a lot of raspberries!
Don't get too bored here comes the fun part.
We finally make it home after a quick trip to Starbucks for a Venti Iced Chai Tea with Nonfat Milk for me and a Venti peppermint mocha for Andrew. Well, we decided to go watch two flag football games for Andrew's mom's school when we first decided we were going to stop at Bed, Bath and Beyond to get some storage racks for our garage for our many beverages. (Come on over we have plenty now....no Eric you do not need to steal) So, I take our drinks to the car as well as a Costco poppy seed muffin, car keys, water, coupons in hand. Car keys had to unlock car with remote. Well, crash there goes my Iced Chai and it was done for. That was the first thing that happened. Anyways, at BBB, we found a distressed looking clock which Andrew's had his eye on ever since we got plenty of BBB gift cards and the best part this clock was in the clearance section this time for only $9.98 so we had to get it. Then we found a storage rack on clearance for $19.99, which we already had one from receiving it as a wedding present so we thought it would match perfectly in the garage with the other one. Well, like always, we brought our 20% coupons to get a better deal with our gift cards. AWESOME!!!!! The Bed, Bath and Beyond part was an excellent part of the day. It goes downhill from here.
Keep with me.... flag football over (to make the story short).
After the game we head over to Andrew's parents because he had to use the restroom. At this point, we decide to head over to Panera Bread for lunch. Well, we were a light away from Panera when BAM a GMC Sierra truck decides to give us more than a love pat and rear ends our car. Yes, I was driving. At this point, we don't really know what to do because we have never been in this situation. We ask the guy if he wants to just go to the Shell station and exchange information. Well, we end up after 2 hours, at this auto body shop with his dad finally showing up and many phones calls to family members and friends to see what we should do. We called them because he just wanted to pay straight up for the damage. I don't think so because I don't have health insurance and this point I was sore (inserted: 9/14/08: still sore). Well, finally we get rid of this guy and head back to my in-laws house for some "relaxation."
Here comes the best part...
I finish talking to my mom outside the house before I go in because I told her I REALLY had to use the restroom. So I hung up and put the phone in my pocket which I always do when I am around the house or wherever. Well, all of a sudden I asked Andrew where my phone was. I try calling it...network busy. Andrew tries calling....ringing....ringing. The only option would be...yes you guessed it....FLUSHED down the toilet (don't ask me how)!!!!!! So, Dave (my father-in-law) decided to flush the toilet to see if it got stuck and we would know that by the water rising. Well, it did so thank goodness it was stuck. After a long process, we got the phone out. Yes, I do not have a phone that I have had only for about a month because we are hoping it will air dry and work again! Hopefully because I have applied for jobs using that phone number.
Well, after a long day, we have two of our friends Hau (pronunciation: How) and Sharon are here unexpectantly which is nice with rocky road in their hand and ready play games. They think we only have about 4.5 hours left to live. Hope you enjoyed this post. It has been a long day, but please pray that things will go smoothly with the car and also that I will be able to have my phone back. Thanks for reading this long detailed post about our Tea Toilet Crash!!!!!

Sweetly Broken
Jeremy Riddle - Sweetly Broken
From the album Sweetly Broken
To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing
For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just
Chorus:
At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered
What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified
You’ve called me out of death
You’ve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross I’m reconciled
Chorus:
In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness
(2x’s)
Chorus:

If you're going to San Francisco...
Yesterday (Thursday, September 4th), Andrew and I were able to go to San Francisco. Since we have not been able to find jobs, we decided to go on a date to San Francisco to walk around Pier 39, walk around IKEA, and then go pick up Andrew's best friend Sam from the Oakland airport. I have always wanted to go San Francisco since we have been dating, but we just haven't had the time to go visit. Well, yesterday was the day and it was a good excuse to go due to Sam flying into Oakland and we figured we could help his parents out by picking him up on the way back. Sam flew in due to his dad having open heart surgery about a week and a half ago and wanted to spend some time with him.
The best part of the trip is that we went to IKEA (I know they have one in Sacramento and Portland), but this trip was worth it. We found two of their posters for $.99 each originally $10.00 a piece. We also found 5 pack of cards for $.99 originally $5.00 for a pack of 5 cards. We also found an African-themed poster which includes four prints for $2.99 originally $15.00. We were so impressed with these deals we had to make a trip to the Sacramento IKEA today to see if they were too good to be true. Well....we just didn't go for the deals, we had to return a frame that we been looking for to frame a poster we got in WDW on our honeymoon. We returned it and actually got out of IKEA today with nothing in our hands!!!!
We are so blessed right now to have this time to go adventure in California, but it really is getting down to the nitty gritty as far as jobs. We have been looking, applying, and looking some more. We really need to start working for the sake of living expenses, but also due to the fact we are getting bored around the house and sometimes around each other. Yes, I know that might sound like how can you say that about your spouse, but we are just willing and being patient for God to open that door and we hope that door will open soon. If you please would be in prayer for us as we are seeking jobs that would be awesome! Also, please be in prayer about us being diligent before the Lord and being patient. Thanks so much! =)

Wood Carving
Today we received an awesome wedding present. We wanted to share this picture with you all!
This rolling pin and holder is made out of wood given to us from a church family's mom. She is a wood carver and she wanted to give us this for our wedding present. I am unsure if I am going to use this actually in the kitchen because I am afraid to mess up the beautiful woodwork on it. The best part, on the back of the holder she inscribed our names with our wedding date (just in case Andrew forgets) plus her name and then her daughter and husband's name. The best part of this gift is the woman is about 80 years old and carved this! Thanks for the awesome gift Mrs. Coffey, God has given you great talents and gifts! =)
