Nothing Separates a Friendship

Amy is visiting her family and Matt's family in Oregon and she was visiting with Matt's sister and her sons up in Portland. The best part of this is that Amy was in Gresham at a yogurt shop with her sister in law when she sent me a picture of a Gresham sign. Amy knows how much I miss home since we talk on the phone on a weekly basis and sent this to me to let me know she is thinking of me and that she is in my hometown. I told her that she should visit my parents new home and give them a hug. Well, Amy, Nicole (s-i-l)., Ava, and nephews decided to stop on the way back to Nicole's!! What a blessing Amy is!!! I am blessed by her friendship, but even more blessed that she is willing to go to my parents' house to give them a hug and have her meet one of her daughter's (even before I have met her daughter in person)! Thanks Amy for going out of your way to see them. The awesome part is that I got to enjoy this visit as well via Skype. Once again thankful for my friend Amy and the time we get to spend on the phone a weekly basis, our memories that we share together, and her knowing my family and me knowing her family!!! =) Thanks again Amy!!!

The Last Few Days

The past four days Andrew and I have been able to enjoy being around each other more. It is nice because we have been able to hang out, talk, relax together and just talk about our prayer requests to one another. Andrew is on "Fall Break" here which ends in the morning, but we are thankful for this time together. I only had to work 4.5 hours on Monday afternoon and then him on Monday night and tonight, but thankful that we have been able to take a break from work and school to enjoy each other. Today we got to go have a Costco date and just walk around and look and buy some essentials that we need. Right now we are thankful for where we are, but we are making big decisions once again for PhD work. Andrew will be applying for some more schools besides WC and seeing where the Lord leads us. We are praying that we stay here, but open to where the Lord leads for schooling.

Thankful

We have spent countless hours with these two families and so thankful that we have been able to share our lives with each other. We are missing these two families right now and if only they would fly (Yes, Camille you can drive) out to see us or we could fly to see them! Thank you Lord for blessing us with the time we had with the Miles and Hughes' families! We hope we can see you all in December and share our crazy
families with each other. Thank you for keeping in touch with us and encouraging us.

Sites of Chicago

We went to downtown Chicago on a gorgeous sunny day, but a bit chilly. It was the day of the Chicago Marathon (10/7/12) which wasn't too crazy downtown. God blessed us with a day of exploration and being able to get some great shots of the Chicago skyline.

Wheaton/Chicago

My sister, our nephew and niece came to Wheaton to come visit and celebrate my sister's 10 year college reunion from Wheaton. We were able to have a blast while they were here and we got to do many things together even though Andrew and I both worked and Saundra had alumni events to attend to. Here is some things we did.
