Answer to Prayer

I am very excited to announce that my two beautiful nieces will be able to share in the Studenny/Finch Wedding. For about a month, I would not know if my beautiful and oldest niece Jazmyne Jade would be in the wedding, and God today answered our many prayers. Her mom has decided to let her be with our family during the weekend of our wedding! Thank you Lord for being so gracious. Please continue to pray as this is still only 95% confirmed right now. Andrew and I are also looking forward to seeing our youngest niece (as of right now the youngest niece, one on the way in September) Jasmine Marie coming all the way from Florida with her mom Terri and her baby sister-in-the-womb Madison. Thank you again for the prayers!

A Crazy Thing...

Taken on June 20, 2008
(Not the full leg, just the shin)

You are thinking why is Andrew's leg up on our blog! Well, I just first want to state that it is not Andrew's leg, yes it is mine, Kathleen's. For all of you that I have played soccer with or just know me, I am really too lazy to shave my legs at some points during my lifetime. Well, since I will be a married woman here in three weeks, I decided to take a new approach to leg hair. Andrew has made it very clear to me that I will never have a chance to grow the "Stu Forest or the Finch Forest," so I figured I would do one last crazy thing before July 12th comes around. I have decided to grow out my leg hair. You are thinking, "how does she go out of the house with those hairy legs?" Well, I have not worn shorts or skirts or dresses for a very long time, so don't fret about that one. You are also probably thinking about, "how did Andrew let her get away with it?" Well, you see Andrew and I have not seen each other since May 4th, so I decided it would be a perfect time. My dad on the other hand as made many comments in lieu of Andrew being down in California. Another question, boy you sure are asking a lot of questions, "how did you get rid of the "Stu Forest?" I decided to try Nair with my mom's assistance of purchasing it for me as well helping me wipe off the forest. After three attempts of application of Nair, it worked. I liked the thought of not having to buy another razor for my legs, but I did not like the rash on the back of my legs after using this stuff. So to much of your surprise, my forest is gone and I hope you like the new and improved picture of my leg!

Alright married ladies, it is your turn to respond to my question since I gave you my crazy thing. What was the most crazy thing you did before you got married? Please share with us all about what you did.

Visiting Friends

Andrew and I had a busy day visiting friends in two different states yesterday. Andrew was able to go down with his mom to Vallejo to visit Sam Robinson and his parents. Sam's parents just moved up to Vallejo from Watsonville, California so it was a nice trip for Andrew to see his best friend as well as his mom to see her best friends. His mom went to college at good ole' Western Baptist (back in the day) and then Sam and Andrew have known each other all their lives. They have been so blessed by each other's friendship and also going to WB together. Sam gets to share in our special day with us as he stands as Andrew's best man. Thank you Sam and your parents for being such faithful and loyal friends to Andrew and his parents.

I got to go to Olympia, Washington with Katie and Sue Casebeer. Danae Peirce had a baby shower for her soon-to-be arrival of her daughter Peyton Stacy Peirce. Her mother Cherri did a wonderful and cute job of putting this baby shower on and it was so great to see Danae and her family, Paul's family, and former Corbanites Ronda, Keagan, and Meghan Cruz. We literally ran into Meghan, Ronda, and Keagan at the Nike Clearance Store in Centrailia, Washington so that was fun to see them and a wonderful surprise that they were also going to the baby shower. Yes, I had to buy shoes at the Nike store. After the shower, we helped unload the amazing gifts that Danae received at her house and then the whole crew (minus, Cruzer, Ronda, and Keagan) went out to Mexican food. Yes, chips and salsa! After that Sue, Katie, and myself went to the luxurious Red Lion Inn. We were upgraded to a very nice suite and we according to Sue were having a bachelorette party. Yes, 30 minutes after we arrived at the hotel, we were knocked out in our comfortable beds. For all of those that know I do not like touch, I slept in my own bed with four comfortable pillows. We ended the weekend today by me driving the mini van back to Gresham so Sue could see my church (where the wedding is and she is also my wedding coordinator). Katie (a beautiful bridesmaid of mine) and I just enjoyed talking and being able to see each other. Thank you Katie and Sue for a wonderful weekend even though I did have to wear my clothes two days in a row. =)

Praising the Lord

Well, God revealed something to Andrew and I this week and that is that He wants us down in California. He provided a summer job for Andrew which is flexible for Andrew to take off three weeks for the wedding and the honeymoon. That means I get to start packing and preparing for the hot, sunny weather in California. I still have not heard about a job in California, but we know our gracious heavenly Father will provide for us! We also need to find a place to live once we get back from our honeymoon at the end of July. Please keep praying as we are waiting word on a job for me as well as a place to live for the both of us together. My dumpster idea has been axed by Andrew!
Andrew is still waiting to hear on other jobs and he will be applying at the school that he is working at right now due to the job only lasting until mid-August. Thanks for the prayers and we hope to give you all another update soon about what will be happening! =)
