A Gentleman Getting Married

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Leckvold!

These two are getting married today! We are excited that Andrew gets to be a part of their special day and that we have gotten to meet Steve-o's godly soon to be wife Amanda in 5 hours.

Steve loved me taking pictures of him.

These four were able to share four years of their college experience together and now they get to experience Steve's wedding together. Ben or Sam...two more years and one of you have to be ready for marriage!! ;)

Interview

Yesterday, I had an interview for a first grade teaching position. It was my first teaching interview. I really was nervous, but glad that I had professors, friends, and other teachers give me advice on how to interview and what to say. I really enjoyed getting my first interview under my belt. Andrew and I are thankful to our great God that I had the opportunity to interview. If I do not get this job, we understand it was God's will and that I was able to understand what a teaching job looks like and what it feels like. I will find out on Tuesday whether or not it is a yay or nay. Right now, I am just trying to focus on what God wants and to serve Him. Please be praying that God's will will be done.

Piggies

My mom bought all the grandkids plus a couple extra piggy banks (just for when others come about) for when they come over, they have a pig to put some extra coins in. Well, I thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot, but instead I got called away to do something so Andrew did the photo shoot. I had creative ideas like I said in my head, but this is what Andrew came up with. The girls do have fun together and loved showing off their banks have fit their personalities.

Showing off for the camera.

Big J was getting tired of all the pictures.

The "cheesy" picture!

Cousins switching banks just for fun.

Pink with plenty of design. Fits her perfectly. She loves to be fashionable and try on many outfits throughout the day.

A Stroll Along the Willamette River

Andrew and I took a stroll along the waterfront in downtown Portland. I just finished working 6 days straight and we felt like we wanted to spend a gorgeous beautiful sunny day in Portland. We also observed the floats made with all natural materials from the Grand Floral Parade that was yesterday. We could not go to the parade because I was working, but we were glad that we were able to see them up close and personal. Some floats even used fruits and vegetables such as eggplant, limes, and oranges on their floats. Great day to see the Dragon Boat Races as well. Ended the morning with going to Chipotle!!! Yummy!

The two white boats in the background is part of the Portland Spirit fleet. Up from there is where I work. Thankful I have a job there this summer!

Other news:

Unfortunately and not part of God's will is that Andrew did not get the job at Western Seminary. Still praying about where he should look and apply.

I started school on Memorial Day with an online class then one intensive two week class in Salem in July.

Andrew starts a week intensive class tomorrow and will be going everyday till Friday. He also has another week class in July which is the same week I finish my two week intensive class.

Still praying about teaching positions. Going to apply for an ELD position at my sister's school. My sister is taking a year off so the part time position is open.

Working 5 days a week at the Portland Spirit.

Have jury duty coming up on the 24th =(

My aunt comes up in a couple weeks and it lands on the same weekend as Stemanda's wedding.

Busy summer, but looking for God's opening of doors for jobs and a place to live. Please continue to pray as we seek after His will and not our own desires.
