Dad's Retirement

My dad officially retires today. I just talked to him on the phone and I told him that he isn't officially retired until 3 something PST this afternoon. My dad has put in a lot of years into working and providing for us in all different ways. He provided financially, physically, spiritually, and lots of many other ways to count. My dad has always given us the encouragement to pursue all that we do and we are all so thankful for him. My dad has encouraged us for example by sending us letters for our birthdays, to let us know daily happenings in their household, to say hi, to send money, to let us be humored, and so on. I am so thankful for these cards that we receive once a week or even a couple times a week. I am so thankful my dad has passed on the love of encouraging others by writing letters because I love writing people encouragement letters and sending them off each month. Most importantly, my dad loves the Lord. I am thankful for the encouragement he provides to seek what the Lord wants and encourages me in my walk. Ultimately, he loves the Lord and gets to serve Him in a whole new capacity. I am glad that the Lord provided such a great dad with a heart to serve others. I am glad that my dad is willing to try a new adventure and serve the Lord with my mom together in what the Lord wants them to do.

Here are some pictures of my dad through the years that I have on my computer.
