Andrew and I were talking the other day about what kind of season we are in as far as our lives. When we were in college and shortly after graduation, it was the season of everyone getting married or engaged. Now we are in the season of hearing of people becoming pregnant and having baby showers. This is great, exciting, but on the other hand it makes me realize that we are in between these two seasons. We are not newly married, but we are not having any children any time soon.
There are times when I think "Lord when do we enter a new season in your marriage that you have given us?" But you know what the Lord is taking us through a new season right now. Right now we are awaiting news and waiting to be told from God where to go. We are listening intently, praying always, and letting God's timing work out perfectly. It is amazing how many times that the Lord has revealed His timing when He knows we are ready to hear. The Lord has His perfect timing, not our timing. Our timing we think works out better, but in the end God continues to work on our hearts, our minds, and prepares us for what is to come.
Andrew does a much better job at waiting than me. Andrew is much more an encourager when I want to go, go, go. Andrew tells me that we need to wait for God's leading and not go ahead of Him to do our own thing. Andrew right now is very patient and letting God lead him to some uncomfortable waters. I am proud of Andrew right now because he is stepping out of his comfort zone willing to listen, learn, and rely on the Lord to see him through. Right now Andrew and I are closer than ever to each other, BUT most of all to the Lord and His guidance.
It truly is nice to have peace about this new situation that we could possibly be in. It is nice and refreshing to let the Lord lead where He wants us and know this is from HIM! Thank you Lord for guiding us to this new season in our lives. Thank you Lord for not giving up on us when it was hard 3 years ago. Thank you Lord for continuing to work in me and let me love my husband like you love him. Thank you for showing us that you do provide, in your TIMING, and in your WAY! Lord use us to serve you today and what you want us to do to further your Kingdom.

It's always hard not to long for the next "phase" or "season". Even my friends are starting to have babies! (not that I'm ready for that season yet). Reading your post was encouraging though - the way you're seeing your season through eyes of gratitude and thanks!
Thanks for your encouragement Katie!!! I truly have enjoyed getting to know you more through your blog and Facebook. Thanks for sharing your stories about school, marriage, and life in Indonesia!
