This Week

This past week, we were very busy with visiting family that came to town. My dad had vacation time from work so he decided to spend 5 days with us. I (Kathleen) am very thankful my dad was able to take the time to get on a plane and stay and visit us. We took him to Old Sacramento, the capitol building, Arden Fair Mall, and most importantly IKEA!!! He loved walking around IKEA even though there is one up in Portland (he found 12 cards for $.21 each). My mom was able to join us on Friday night for the weekend and that was a blessing to have her come down as well. I miss my parents and family so much and it is ever so hard to not see them on a constant basis. Saturday during the day we attended our landlord's Celebration of Life service which was a blessing. We are truly blessed by Angie and Ray and we have learned from them both. We are still constantly learning from Angie as her life was a living testimony about how we as Christians should be living for the Lord. She was constantly seeking the Lord even though she was sick with lung cancer and she always glorified the Lord in all that she did. We are thankful for her. We are also truly thankful for her husband as he is still our neighbor and we are blessed by him and his constant generosity. We are thankful for their daughters as well as we learn from them and we see how Ray and Angie truly have raised two beautiful inside and out daughters with great husbands and grandson!!!! The next treat we were able to enjoy is that my aunt and uncle from Arizona (my mom's sister) were able to come over from Petaluma (visiting my uncle's mom) to spend the evening with us. Andrew and I are truly thankful for my family and that they were able to have the time to come visit and hang out!!!! =)
