Random Things

There were some funny things that happened during our wedding as well as on our honeymoon plus one event at our house. We would like to share them with you.

1. Our two nieces Jazmyne and Jasmine decided not to drop any of the flowers on the aisle runner except a few and Jasmine Marie (the youngest one) decided it would be best to dump her whole basket on the stage. The next thing she decided to do was use her basket as a hat. I can hear people laughing and Andrew is watching all of this since my back is turned to the girls while facing Andrew.

2. For my bridesmaids attire I had them wear these cute purple satin high heels which everyone hated by the time the wedding ceremony actually started. This included my sister Saundra who was my matron of honor. I didn't chose a very good selection for any of my girls because all of them are really not used to wearing heels except Sarah. Well, right before the ceremony started we were in the hallway. My sister made it very clear that to pay attention to her signals because when she put her hand behind her back that meant all the bridesmaids had to bend their knees just to make sure they didn't faint. My father-in-law made sure the night before to let everyone to make sure their knees were bent that way we did not have anyone that would decide to faint. I thought this was the most hilarious thing that Saundra and the girls thought of. I wish I could have seen it because I would be funny to see 5 girls all at the same time do a little squat. By the way I did compensate my girls by buying them purple flip flops for the reception as part of their gift!

3. We actually did it! We did a high five instead of a kiss. I always told people that I would want to high five because I do not like PDA, well Andrew decided to high five with me! After we did that exchange, we actually did exchange a kiss!

4. I got Andrew real good in the face with our wedding cake. We took one tiny bite of the cake and whamo I got Andrew! Thank goodness I had running shoes on for my wedding shoes so then I could run away before he got me as bad as I got him!!!

5. Well, I think it was our second or third night of our honeymoon when I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I drank so much water during the days because of how hot it was, that I always had to go in the middle of the night. Well one night I was so out of it, I forgot where the bathroom was in our room. Instead of taking a left to go towards the bathroom, I decided to take a right which I was heading towards the deck. When I was "trying" to find the bathroom I ran into the chair that went with the table that was in our room and I got frustrated because I could not figure out why in the world Andrew put a chair in my way. After trying to figure this out, I asked Andrew why there was a chair and told him to turn on the light. Well comes to figure out that I was completely in the wrong spot of our room to use the restroom and I figured that out once Andrew graciously turned on the light. Once I made it to the restroom I had more troubles because my drawstrings got in a knot....but I finally successfully made it to the restroom.

6. Another bathroom story. So it was our first night by ourselves without anyone staying with us at our house. Andrew and I planned to sleep on the bed where I would be closer to the bathroom due to me always getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. Well, I had to use the restroom once again and normally I just roll right out of bed straight into the bathroom. Well, I was once again delirious and couldn't figure out where the bathroom was. I instead decided to use the guest bathroom which was down the hall outside our room. When I came back, Andrew was wondering where I went and asked "why didn't you just use the bathroom in our room?" I told him, "I didn't know where it was!" Well now that I am accustomed to our house I think I might not have these issues!

I might be posting more random thoughts or happenings in our marriage so far. I just wanted to share some tid bits from the wedding and honeymoon and our lives together. Some of you missed the wedding so I wanted to share with you what you missed!
